I love helping clients find the perfect home or sell their current one so they can move on to and into their perfect home. Before becoming a REALTOR®, I spent almost 28 years in the U.S. military and then graduated from law school at the age of 48, so I know what it means to serve and to take on a challenge!
When I was in the military, I was assigned as a Casualty Assistance Officer 5 times. What I did in that position was guide and assist families who had just been notified that their loved ones had passed away. I steered them through the minutiae of military red tape and assisted them in planning the perfect memorials or funerals for their loved ones and getting the benefits to which they were entitled. I always wanted them to know they weren’t alone.
Now, I use the experience of helping people through the worst times in their lives to help my clients through one of the most challenging times in their lives – home buying and selling! I thrive on assisting my clients through every step in the process and explaining the details to them so they can find the perfect home for themselves or sell their current home and move into that perfect home.
I became a real estate agent because I wanted to serve in a profession that allowed me to truly help people when they needed it the most and where I could perform the service to my own high standards. Equally as important, I was searching for a way to leave a legacy in the names of my two boys (cats), Eddie and Oliver. I have found both in this profession. I am partnered with the Blue Ridge Humane Society and I donate a portion of every commission to them in honor of Eddie and Oliver, so they can continue to help animals find their “furever” homes. Because a home can change a life.
